HA HA HA ok ok, now here is the real link ...lol

The 100 gpd RO membrane is not a good one. The 98%-99.99% rejection ratio quite is a flat-out lie. You're looking at less than 90% in practice. You want the 75 gpd Dow filmtec RO membrane.

Also, the horizontal DI canister is no good. You want vertical.

The cheapest I would go would be the following - http://www.buckeyefieldsupply.com/showproducts.asp?Category=167&Sub=166

Also, you have to get a TDS meter.

I would like to suggest asking Randalb directly, I dont know anyone from these boards or otherwise who knows more on the topic of quality Ro units.

Definitly get one from Randal. I purchased a "deal" and eventually spent more money than I saved for frequent cartridge changes.

Thanks guys, But as I am currently homeless and all my parts/supplies are in storage, I'm not selling anything right now or even trading for reef goodies (I have no fish tanks running Boo-Hoo).

Gvibes is essentially correct, you will pay more to OPERATE that unit in a year than it costs if you are paying for water. The membrane is Spec'd at 65PSI for 90% rejection! Spend a couple of extra bucks on a better RO unit.

What kills me the most about those ebay guys is their cost would be about $20-30 more to make a good unit rather than cheaping around with low quality parts.

It never ceases to amaze me that people who spend $50-60 on a fish or coral frag and $75-100 on a light bulb skimp on their RO units and wind up having their hard earned dollars go down a drain rather than into reef tanks where they belong.

Buckeye seems good, as is Walter at www.airwaterice.com. Spectrapure is decent for factory made.

Jumping down off my soap box now,
RandalB
