RO/DI Micron level

Is a .6 micron level good? I'm not really sure how to phrase that question. Basically, I'm now in the market for my own RO/DI system and I'm sitting here at work (with nothing to do) browsing some recommended brands. I stumbled upon the filter guyz. They offer what looks to be a pretty good deal.

They say their third stage canister has a .6 Micron Matrikx NSF rated chlorine guzzler carbon block. Is that any good? Should I purchase? Should I move on? Help please =)

That is plenty small for a carbon prefilter. My carbon filters are 5 and 1 micron, I believe. The RO and DI will remove the smaller stuff.

+1 to what was posted before me. That would be plenty small. I myself am using 5 micron pre-filters too, so .5 would be small enough.

filterguys have good stuff..

I use these prefilters in that order.. in to out
10 micron sediment
5 micron coconut carbon block
1 micron coconut carbon block

Personally I use a 1 micron sediment into a 5 micron standard carbon, into a 1 micron chlorimine block.

I change the 1 micron sediment often, it is there to protect the more expensive carbon blocks from getting gummed up too quickly, the middle carbon block was added to protect the much more expensive 1 micron block.

(that reminds me, it is time to change the first two)
