I won't even comment on that one except to say its at the very bottom of my list due to false advertising, poor performance and general lack of quality.
AZDesertRat: whats your take on DTS Creep? People have said that if you utilize a float switch every time it turns on you'll get a portion of bad water, is this as big of a deal as some people make it out to be?
TDS creep is an issue when you are making numerous small batches of water. With float valves that have a very narrow span between on and off or single float switches that have a very short travel it can be a problem since you are constantly turning on and off. Its much better to run for longer periods so your membrane has a chance to clear itself. Its kind of like the old adage " The solution to pollution is dilution". By adding more water at a time the short burst of higher TDS water is diluted with the larger quantity of good water. I would recommend a float switch setup with multiple switches set a few inches apart or more with one turning flow on and the other turning it off for a longer filter run each time. Of course you should always have a safety of some sort like a third fail safe switch or a float valve just in case the off sticks.
I use my RO system for drinking water as well as reef use so I have a 14 gallon pressure tank. That way I make at least 5 gallons or so each cycle so TDS creep is not an issue. If I were going to a storage vessel like a Rubbermaid Brute I would use multiple float switches set some distance apart and a solenoid to accomplish the same thing.
