RO/DI storage container

I will be purchasing a RO/DI system soon as I am tired of buying distilled water from target. What kind of containers do you use to store your water. I was hoping to find a container that would be closed with a spigot at the bottom of the container... any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

How much water do you plan on storing? Most of us with larger systems use 55 gallon or larger food grade storage barrels. Uniseal makes a seal so that you can drill a hole through the side of the container and attach a plastic valve to that.

I have a 55gal tank, I was thinking a 55gal drum, but that might be overkill... How much water should I store?

I use a 32 gallon brute garbage can for my 65g DT. No spicket but a cheap pump gets its done. I usually make water once a month.

This 14 gallon drum could work for you, just toss the metal ring:

For a 55 gallon system I would just use standard 5 gallon jugs. When I had a 50 gallon tank I used a 30 gallon brute trash can with a float switch to make my water and then transferred it to 5 gallon jugs for storage.

Several issues:

+weight
+size (how much can you maximally expect to need)
+light proof (no algae)
+spousal approval (this was toughest, I keep 200 gallons)
