I just got my RO/DI system up and running yesterday.
I got it from the Filter Guys and I can not say enough good things about them. I finished the order on monday and the unit showed up on wednesday. They even refunded a portion of the shipping charges.
The unit came with everything needed to get it up and running right out of the box, it came with easy to follow instructions and was very simple to setup.
The unit that I got was the "Ocean Reef+1"
I also did a little bit of testing and after flushing the system with about 4 gallons (which they recommend) I was getting 4 TDS before the DI Filter and 0 TDS after it.
The unit has a 75GPD membrane, but the water here is 68F/54 PSI (which is a little less than optimal for both) so it actually creates about 2.5 gallons per hour or 60GPD.
The only thing that suprised me was that for every one gallon of water it produces, it creates 4 gallons of waste, but after reading up on it, that is pretty good for an RO/DI unit. It scared me a bit at first until I realized that the Marion water department only charges $1.04 per 750G so I'd have to create a lot of water before I saw any difference on my water bill.
Let me know if you want to stop by and take a look at it...
