Co2?!?!?!?
When water and Co2 get together, they form carbonic acid, and when introduced with copper (Read, Pipes) it creates some pretty toxic stuff that can make you very sick...
So if you had Co2 in your water and that water went into the house which is usually made of copper pipes, I think it would erode the pipes and make some very poisonous water?
I studied this somewhat when I made my soda machine...

"When carbon dioxide enters water, it becomes carbonic acid. That acid will react with copper or the copper in an alloy and produce toxic compounds. These compounds taste very bad, and can cause nausea, vomiting, and other similar problems. "
