I bought a house and Im going to be moving out of my apartment where water is currently free for me

I was wondering if when you guys started using you rodi filters at home did you notcie a big increase in your water bill?

Just got my latest bill and didn't notice any difference, but I only usually make 50 or so gallons a month, which is around 200 extra gallons with waste water.

I just moved out of my apt. and bought a house last March. You should just call the city and find out how much water you're alotted every month. I found out my city alots 15,000 gal. for 3 months per household. If you use 10,000 gal. in 3 months, you still get charged the flat water fee for 15,000. But if you go over, then they tack on to your flat fee. See if your town has that. If it's just you living there and you have the same deal as me, it won't make a bit of difference unless you run the unit 24/7. May as well use the water.

This sounds funny to me, as I read this I was thinking "does it matter how much it costs, or how ecologically harmful it is to waste all of the water"

Oh well, good to know it doesn't cost that much!

it's no more than taking an additional 5 or 6 showers a month... so cut down on showers and it might even out haha

Even if I did notice an increase on my water bill,I save a ton on fuel driving back and forth to the fish store.

not sure how accurate this is, but i have seen threads discussing how ro water is "free".

the water pressure is so low, and the flow so low, that it does not register on the water meter.

before saying its not a big deal, or it is actually free, id look into this instead of relying on "imo" of posters.

Didn't see that thread, but my 35 gpd unit hardly spins the meter. I know I'm not paying full price for it. Maybe 10 gallons product water per cubic foot (7.5 gal.) That's about 50 gallons used and I pay for 8.

Nemo g, every time I look at your avatar I crack up!
