Ro/di?

How lond does it take you RO/DI unit to make 5 gallons of water? I have this new one and it works great TDS 0 after DI but man does it take a long time to make water?

how many gallons per day is the unit rated for? i think mines 100 GPD and it takes a little over an hour to make 5 gallons..

When I first made RODI to fill my tank, I think the 100gpd filter was making 40+ gallons in 24 hours. We have a new regulator for the house now, and the water pressure was changed from 50-60psi to 70+psi, so I suspect my RODI may be producing a bit more per day now.

Ditto...

5 gallons per hour

I always have it made now so that at any given time I have 15 gallons of mixed saltwater. It has saved me more than a couple times for those middle of the night emergencies. That rolling trashcan with float valve I installed was my second best investment for my reef. The number one was the RO/DI filter itself.

Sorry not trying to hi jack your thread, but what is everyone using for their RO/DI unit or recommend? I'm looking to get one.

I have the one I got for free yesterday just needed Micron filter and Carbon filters. SpectraPure 90GPD. I also have the Dual DI setup.

So in my RO/DI I am running:
1 5 Micron
2 Carbon Blocks
Membrane
Dual DI.

depends on the temp & pressure of the water.

BRS 5stage 75GPD @ 65psi

Summer I get get 5g per 45mins.

Winter I get 5g in 1.25-1.5 hours

Yeah I'm think about getting SpectraPure 90 Gallons per Day CSPDI-90 RO/DI System 4 stage. It's on sale atm 50% off. Let me know if anybody have use this and what you think.

Thanks

hey my180reef pm sent.

We have a calculator on our website that allows you to input your pressure and temperature and see what your membrane should produce under those conditions.
