RO Drain on metal pipes?

I'm installing my new RO system from BRS, and have run into a slight snag. My kitchen sink only has metal pipes for draining. There's a copper tee for the dishwasher, and what looks like brass/steel for the rest. My question is, how do I attach the RO drain line? I need something that can be removed or plugged in the future, as I live in an apartment.



The BRS kit came with a brass self piercing saddle valve and a plastic saddle valve that requires drilling. Also no air gap, not sure how safe that is. Pic of valves and sink are attached.

Take off the Clamp on the dishwasher connection.. Take the to hardware store.. Get a barbed T fitting and a small piece of vinyl (Reinforced is best) Put the new piece of vinyl on the Copper pipe then the T then the dishwasher pipe onto the NEW T fitting..

Then you need to get a fitting to reduce the Open T to the size of your RO DRAIN.

Basically adding a T to the dishwasher Drain... This can be undone and installed in a matter of minutes... As far as the No Air gap I am not really sure what you are asking.. The rodi drain connected before the trap will draw air from the sink drain..

The saddle is to pierce a copper water line for flow to the RO, not for the drain of water from the RO. You may have understood that, but it wasn't clear to me in your post.

You can still drill the brass and install the black plastic drain saddle
Or go to your plumbing supply or lowes he and get a tubular plastic dishwasher tailpiece and drill into the new plastic one

That's what I would do. Swap to your own tailpiece then put theirs back on when you leave. No harm done.
