the blue hose is coming from the water source and the red is the drain...the part without the hose were the bucket is should be were the ro water comes out....right?

it seams like its filtering too fast....

Someone has modified that. From the factory yellow is feed, red is waste, and blue is clean. It looks like someone has switched the hoses round. Can you get a pic from the side so we can see how it is plumbed?

It seams like its set up *** backwards...its pumping out at like 25 gph....that seams way way way way too fast....the outlet were the water is coming from has a bigger male end than the others so I'm guessing that's the output line....the rest of it is a mistery to me!!!!!!

It should go like this. Tap water into the sediment filter (in the middle on yours should be on one end). From the sediment to the carbon. From the carbon to the RO. The RO has two lines coming out. If you look inside the connections, one has a smaller hole inside. That is the flow restrictor. It should be the one that is to the side a little. That is where dirty water comes out. The other one next to it is where clean water comes out. The clean water should go to the DI resin and the the outlet from the DI is the water you use.

It looks like someone who didn't understand how this thing works tried to "improve" it and got things working all sorts of backwards.

It look slike your right now goes into the carbon, from carbon to the clean outlet of the RO, and the inlet is hooked up to the sediment and then over to the DI. I bet it is just pouring out water because the membrane is out of the loop basically. I would strongly suggest replacing the DI resin if it has been run in this configuration for very long. I would also replace that carbon filter, it don't look quite right.

And when you get it up and running, switch the two fittings on the end of the RO stage, waste and clean, and run it for an hour or so to give the membrane a good flush, then switch them back. Not just the lines, but the fittings that go into the RO housing, that is where the flow restrictor is and you want to put it on the other side of the membrane to flush.

How much does it cost to replace al the filters and di mebrane? I'm in this thing for 50 bucks and I can get a new one for 100.....I may take it back...
