RO System Slow Drip

I just replaced all of the cartridges and membrain on my 5 stage RO system because I was only getting 1 drop every 15 seconds or so and have not changed them out. So I purchased all new and replaced them and I am still only getting 1 drop second.. I tested all hoses and it seems that the backup is in the membrain but I don't know what if anything I can do about it.. I removed the membrain and I get a nice steady flow but as soon as I put the membrain back in it just drips.. I let it drip all night thinking it had to break in but it's still just a drips..

Membrane needs replacement. That much is clear. Or you need a pressure pump, but that only masks the fact that your membrane needs replacing.

I replaced the membrane with a new one.. Pressure is fine as I have been using this same basement sink for 2 years.. Any other thoughts?

Get a pressure gauge and a t pressure fitting.. Off of t get a reducer from 3/8 thread to compression and snap gauge in on the water line feeding your r.o. Hope you follow if not i could post a pic.

Did you let a few gallons go through BEFORE you added the membrane (after replacing the pre-membrane stuff)?

Carbon dust clogs a membrane really, really, really well...

What about the restriction in the waste water line
If that's missing or opened up the water will just flow out and not thru the membrain
See if there is to much water is comming out

Well I re-seated all filters and membrane and I am getting a lot better flow... I didn't know I had to let water flow without the membrane as none of the online video's suggested I do that.. But it does sound like a good idea.. I will update this thread tomorrow as to how much water I processed tonight..

Thanks for every ones input..

Is your carbon block a larger micron size than your sediment?

Sediment must be smallest. Even same siza can be a problem.

Remove the carbon and test. Then put it back and remove the sediment and test.

Not saying this is the issue but the drip will be slower in the winter when it is cold outside than in the summer. Don't know the reason but just what I've read
