I used the same connector form Lowes and hooked a line splitter to my washing machine cold water feed
I just ran the drain line into the washing machine drain hole
If I recall that thread they were talking about running the RODI drain line inside the washing machine to fill it up for a load of laundry. The problem with that is that if you’re not paying attention it will overflow because in order for it to drain it has to be on.Originally posted by whowadat
Another thread there was a comment about the washing machine drain only working when the machine is on (huh ?) but I thought I better double check before I got a mess on my hands.
You should have no concerns as long as you are careful. I wouldn’t be slinging detergent all around though eitherOriginally posted by whowadat
Are you concerned at all about having your saltwater tank reservoir so close to potentially lethal cleaning supplies ?
I would definitely advise doing this. I wouldn’t want to keep pressure on my RODI. IMO it’s just to cut down on the chance that one of those plastic lines will bursts.Originally posted by whowadat
is there any benefit to adding a shut off valve between the washer cold line and the RO unit if I extended the supply/waste lines ?
