OK, figured I'd post this here to see if others have units that make this noise too. My unit makes a pulsing/vibrating type noise. It doesn't do this constantly, just every few minutes or so. After feeling and listening, it seems to be the automatic shut-off valve that is making the noise. I had replaced it several years ago with one off of ebay.
I can't remember if it's always been this way since I switched it or it's gotten worse. My unit is in the basement, so it's not in a living space, so I'm not down there too often on most days.
Are all shut-offs the same? Or do the check ebay ones tend to have this problem? I hate to purchase items that I don't need, but I don't want to keep using something that not working right.
