RO Wastewater???

I've heard that RO wastewater isnt bad for top off in non-reef settings, is that true? My 240 needs about 20-30 gallons a week and its annoying to wait for my 100gpd unit to fill water. I've also concieved using dechlorinated tap water, but with all the weird weather we've had recently, god only knows whats in the water. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

using the waste water would put more in the tank then dechlorinated tap water would. it's great for FW Cichlid tanks though if you have those.
