Hello, can anyone tell me if there is a good RO water store around Roanke, where I can take my bottles in to have them all filled? Where I moved from there was one about every few miles and I haven't been able to find one here at all. I have a 5 stage system but it only fills 5 gals a day. I am willing to drive outside of Roanoke if I have to : ) Thanks for the info.

UA (Daleville) sells RO/DI water and I think Petland(Roanoke) does. But I wouldnt trust anything from Petland, even the water

How much do you need. I always keep around 65gal on hand. You are welcome to come by. Just let me know.

5 stage system.. Carbon ,sediment, Mixed Bed, RO/Di ... and only 5 gallons a day? When was the last time you changed the membrane? or the sediment .. or the other carts for that matter? I may be able to help with carts if you need them ..

It's a Watts Premier, it came with a 5 gal tank but it probably will do more if I either emptied the tank or bought a larger one. I've had it about 2 yrs but did not use it unless I ran out. I'm sure the filters need to be changed. I just moved here from Albuquerque NM (desert), it was cheaper to buy RO water from one of the many RO water stores (lots of competition) then to run your water bill up. Also the city would fine you if you use to much water :)

So there are really no stores here:sad1: I called some of the water companies like Mountain Springs and Shenandoah Valley Water Co and they only deliver to offices and did not offer walk-in's. The places where I moved from, you can fill 10 bottles at the same time while you wait. I guess I will need to buy a bigger tank or figure out how to run it without a tank. I thank you for your all of your help and offers. Love it here but is taking time getting use to the differences :spin2: alot greener, no water shortage and friendly reefers. Thanks

I think what you have is an RO ment for under sink application with a 5 gal pressure tank, so it can be fed through a spicket, you can disconect it from the tank and let it fill a brute trash can. I have a hand held TDS meter if you want to use it to see if you need to change mem or pre filters/carbon. If you don't use it for drinking water then you can add a DI chamber to it to really clean your water. If you want to use it for drinking water you can place a Tee/ball valve so that you can still use the tank and by-pass the DI. Easy fix.

Your right, it is for under the sink but I've never used it for drinking water, I hook it to the water valve to the washer and fill the bottle when I need it. I recently bought a TDS meter before moving here, had to find it, it was still boxed up. I checked the water from my RO and it reads 008 ppm and my tap is reading 078 -081 I guess that is not bad for the RO but I would much prefer it to be 0 - guess I could get the DI chamber. And since I am new to the area, guess UA is Ultimate Aquarium, saw it in a previous post? I will probably call them tomorrow also. Thanks again.

I used an undersink RO for a while too. Mine was 8 gallons per day if you left the spigot open. I'd just set a bucket up under it and let it drip in slowly. Mine would typically put out 2ppm but I have since setup a 75gpd RODI because I'm too impatient and forgetful to leave a bucket filling overnight or all day. You could probably change out the membrane and flow restrictor if you wanted to bump up production.

UA is Ultimate Aquariums basically the only decent place to get saltwater and corals and such in the area. C&P pet in Christiansburg has a little bit of stuff but its pretty limited.

If you added a DI chamber that would bring that down to 0, sound like your membrane is not too bad maybe by changing your pre filter/carbon would help a little.
