roaming Gig..move it?

65g Ritteri Tank
My gig has been roaming the past week and it is now under an overhang not getting direct light. I had been doing a really low photoperiod to battle dino's and now that they're gone, Im up to close to a normal photoperiod again. Should I move it back to the open getting direct light or should I just let it roam where it wants to? It did lose a lot of color but the color has been gaining back.

I have no experience with gigs but I would either do one of these two options.

1st would be to just let it roam till it finds a happy spot.

2nd would be to put a couple layers of window screen supported by eggcrate to re-acclimate it to your full lighting schedule removing a layer every 5 days. With the reduced intensity I would think it would want to be more out in the open to get to the light and since the intensity will stay the same for the next five days it should be "well" enough to handle the increased intensity from removing a layer.

If it were my anemone I would try the window screen for a few days and see what happens since Gig's are a little touchy sometimes.

Im going let it roam and see where it wants to go...Its currently climbing up a rock so I moved rocks that has corals on it to allow the anemone to move where it wants to. I just put in new radium bulbs today so if it wants more light...its about to get some light. I remember reading Gary M's gig was stationary for a long time then all of a sudden made the climb. I'm lucky not have a full blown SPS tank yet so I can accommodate the anemones movements.

thats what I'm thinking. I really dont mind it having prime real estate because its a show piece of my tank. Gig's are sweet

while its on the move you may want to pretect it from walking into a powerhead by putting eggcrate or similar so it cant walk thru it.

I thought about this...its not close to the vortech on that side. But I will monitor to make sure that it doesnt get too close. Thanks for the heads up
