Hey guys (and gals),

I am actually from SoCal but I come out here every couple weeks on business. I love visiting LFS to see how they are all over the country were I travel. So... where are some good LFS in the Roanoke / Daleville area? I am here until friday morning and get out of work around 4-5 so I would like to visit watever is in the area.

Thanks all!
Scott

If in the roanoke area you should definitely check out Ultimate Aquarium. If in the Blacksburg/Christiansburg area there is Zooquatic and C&P Pets.

Ultimate Aquarium off of 220 in Daleville. Just take exit 150B and get on 220West you will see it on the right after about a mile or two. Its across from a school.

UA is directly accross from Lord Botetourt High School. There are 3 buildings that make a U and they are at the base of the u on the corner. (if that makes sense.)

Altec industries. Crane and arial lift manufacturer. My company makes electronics for them.

I stopped by the store today and it is very nice. Good stock, and good prices. The most stock of "rare" items I have seen in one location. I would say the store is in the top 5% of all the LFS I have been to. You guys are lucy to be in the area.

Thank you for sharing :)

Lucky for now, I hope that the new owner keeps up the great work that Chris and his help has put into it and not turn it into another fish store with a few saltwater fish. I wished that I could make it out that way more.
Going out and looking at Chris's set up make me work harder on my own tanks, they need work, just a small thing called Time. Does anybody know if you can buy that in bulk?

I think Marine Depot carries that in bulk. It would take over a week to get there though!

Yeah but if you were to look at it, the more time you have to do it the more money you spend, its sort of a linear relationship.
