Still cant see pics, signed up for SA reef site and newer pictures aren't there either, almost like they dont exist, could it be a firefox setting?

You can try here: http://www.sareefkeeping.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12932&page=91&highlight=rob's+ten+ton

The pics are served from Picasa/Google, so it's unlikely you'll be blocked from seeing them, unless you're behind a particularly fascist corporate firewall?

Try stick this in your browser address bar and see what happens: https://picasaweb.google.com/111241774398357764281/Tank20111109?authkey=Gv1sRgCJ27q7aRos3ZAg

Just found this thread. All I can say is WOW!! I absolutely LOVE the way you did the rockwork, both the method and especially the way it looks. Can't wait to see it with some corals growing on it. Should be absolutely mind-blowing!

Holy ****! The tangs look like a clown when you look at different setups. My build is like a pico compared to this. Lol!!! But it looks well worth it and so excited to follow and see the progress over the next years

Things are progressing slowly. The first coral is in there (Acros, Montis, Hydnos). It's all growing reasonably well. I'll try get pics within the next month or so. My life is pretty busy right now.

The L. dimidiatus look like they're spawning every 5 days or so. The two P. hepatus have paired up and possibly spawn too, I just don't spend enough time looking at my tank to see. Having no night lights doesn't help either.

I desperately need another skimmer on the system, and I need to get my dosing right. The wavemakers work well. I haven't hooked them up to an oscillator yet, so they just generate current, not waves. I have a very long to do list :|

I must say I'm very proud of my fellow countryman Adee's achievement of TOTM last month :) http://reefkeeping.com/joomla/index.php/current-issue/article/110-tank-of-the-month

I wish I could show a thriving, pristine tank, but honestly it's a bit of a screw up. With summer comes dinoflagellates, so I'm battling to keep everything alive in a toxic, snotty soup. Stony corals are growing, but with muted colours. I'm better off than where I was a year ago, but everything's a struggle. Here's a FTS, for what it's worth.

[edit] Ah, that seems to be enormous. Thank you Dropbox. I'll fix it when I'm less grumpy.

No, it's the sunlight and temperature. The rock is just epoxy, fiberglass, pvc and polyethylene mesh.

The macroalgae seems to die back in summer so there's more nutrients generally available. Dinos like a lot of light and I measure a PAR of 1400 at the surface with no shading. Once the dinos start to bloom, the snails and bristleworms die off, adding more nutrients to the water.

I never realize ether liked light. Wonder if ATS why I have them in my tank with LEDs. Never had them w halides
