Is it ok to lay the LR against the sides and the back of an 55 acrylic tank or 28 glass tank? would that put pressure om them and at some point crack them?
I've seen many pictures of tank and people usually create a wall of rock against the back of their tank.

Thanks

The rock will scratch an acrylic tank, and possible glass as well. I doubt the tank would crack unless the rock were struck. You might also get very poor water circulation. All in all, I wouldn't do it.

It is safe to stack the rock against the glass or acrylic but it has to be really stable.
Also the reasons above are important as well. If you decideto stack the rock this way makes ure it is done stabilly and there is water circulation back there.

You can do it... it helps out a lot with tanks that don't have much room from front to back such as the 30g that I have, or even a standard 55. Cracking won't be an issue but scratching, espeically the acrylic will... but it won't matter because its the back and covered by the rock anyways.
