Ok so I bought 100 pounds of pukani, it was pretty dirty and smelly so I hosed it all off real good with a pressure nozzle. I then soaked it in water and bleach for 24 hours. I then hosed it all off again, then swished it in dechlorinated water and placed it in brute cans with dechlorinated water overnight.
Today I gave it all a muriatic acid bath for 25-40 minutes per bin then used baking soda to neutralize. Took it all out and hosed it off good, gave the swish clean and then put them the brute cans in dechlorinated water and covered for the night.
What step should I take next? Are they ready to go in a tank as is and cycle, or do I need to do something else?
I still have probably a month or better before I have a tank and set up and ready for them.
Maybe lay them out to dry, or put some salt water in the bins with a powerhead and heater and cover them until Im ready to use them?
