Rock mover wrasse protection?

I have a small dragon wrasse, better known as a rock mover, I am setting up a 150gal right now to better suit him and my sailfin. I was wondering what some people have used to protect the bottom of the glass in case of falling rocks. I have noticed people use egg crate, but not sure what this is. I know there is egg crate foam, but wouldn't this create some flow restriction and nitrate spikes?

Its real name is "light diffuser". It goes under flourescent lighting in offices and stuff.
Only use the whitw kind that has no coating.
It is sold at Lowes in the lighting section.

Many use starboard. I believe it's basically white cutting board material. Bare bottom tanks are where I see it most. hopefully someone will chime in & provide the website to order it

do you have a dragon wrasse or a dragon goby? I ask because we have a dragon goby. He moves the sand out from all of the rocks. We put down egg crate (light diffuser) below all of the rock work when we set up the tank just for this reason - to prevent a shift of collapse from his digging. Everything is built upon a solid foundation.

Dragon wrasse. He's really bad about digging, but it keeps the sand really clean! Worst part is when he get bigger he will be able to lift and flip rocks that are almost 3 times his size, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
