I know that rocks usually absorb copper. IT is recommended that we use PVC Piping for Q-Tanks since they don't absorb copper. Is there anything else that we can use? Fake rocks, some type of decor?
I have used it once and after 2 doses I got a copper reading of 0. I don’t know if it doesn’t get absorbed. Have you tired it with success?
I actually tried 2 different testers that test chelated and non-chelated copper they both came up with 0. As a result I am wondering what might have absorbed it and if there is something that wont absorb. Has anyone had any luck with seachme where it doesnt absorb?
Seachem's Cupramine does not get absorbed like the other coppers. I will never be without Cupramine, but I will also not trust their test kits. Not all test kits measure Cupramine, but the Red Sea Copper Test kit does accurately measure it. That test kit only goes up to 0.4 ppm, but it is still affective at this level.
YOu might try some glass slag. Sometimes you'll see it at an lfs. It's the leftovers from glasswork. Stay away from the red: it's got metals. Go for the clear. Looks like ice.
