RODI question

I was making some RODI water today and when I was smelling the container it was in it smelled off. My DI is still about 50% okay and my sediment and carbon blocks were changed about 9-10 months ago, Is it time to replace the filters? The RO membrane I have not changed for over 2 years now so could that be a reason why? I still do the flush on the system before I use it.
Thanks!

I feel like I chang mine more often then that. RO water can smell "off" but no harm in changing filters...

Check your TDS. If it's under 5 then it's nothing. If it's over 5 and it smells then I would worry.

So my TDS has been broken for the past year LOL, it ran out of batteries i guess. I havent replaced it since. Im using a brute container 40g. It stays in my screen porch underneath the roof. It always gets washed with RO water prior to filling.
Gonna hit BRS for a new meter i guess might explain why I have to clean my tank frequently. :/ go figure.

Ive had this in the past if i remember right it was my di resin get new filters and clean the filter canisters with a mild bleach solution brs may have how to do it on their site or call them to get exact directions as to bleach

yes it does have that stank/dank/stinky smell (which ever floats your boat). I have spare filters on the side so I guess its time to replace lol. Yeah i'll give my unit a full cleaning when i get the chance.

You need the numbers to figure out if the membrane needs changed .....TDS TDS TDS ....lol get the meter and do a little math DR......it should have a 98% rejection rate figure out what it is after the ro membrane and before and then do the math and see if its within the 2% .....no you can see if your killing your di because of it....and keep up the flush before using this will lengthen the life of the ro membrane and the di....

Well i have a TDS meter. It ran out of batter LOL. Its the one that attaches to the RODI unit. New batteries coming in 2 days so i guess i'll figure out if i need to replace or not.
