My awi rodi unit is new...used only few months before I broke down my tank...after almost 4 months I hooked it up today...it's giving out 0 tds water...but for some reason I feel like it's slowed down...and there is lot of waste...like 1:10...any idea why it wud waste that much water?

whats the pressure gauge reading? maybe you need a booster pump also did you purchase this from a store?

Yeah until I added a booster pump it took me days to make 120 gallons of water now it takes about 1whole day at 80 psi. Also I heard it helps lengthen the life span of your membranes too.

I don't have a pressure gauge...but I am sure it has enough pressure as i connected my unit to the main water supply to the house...I was wondering if cleaning up the unit helps.

the waste water in my unit from air water and ice has passed thru all filters except the di membrane.I added a second di membrane and now have 2x the amount of ro/di water. If the production is slow replace the carbon filter cartrige and 10 micron prefilter.

during those 4 months was there water in the system? you could have dried out the membrane

1 day to make 120 gallons -- that's what I get on mine in 24 hrs -- 5 GPH, nothing wrong with that.
Check with one of the sponsors here on flow restrictors, you should get 4-1 waste to product water, done by the flow restrictor.
