Hey guys so i flushed out my rodi unit and now am in the process of storing it..... the tds meter read 10 tds going in and 0 out....? Is this faulty ..... is it probable to have 10 tds in your city water?..... i always thought it was at least around 40-50 at the low end ........ my water is hard close to 8 idk if that has anytni g to do with tds but is it possible to have 10 tds?

Fill up a clean glass of water and check the tds.

What are you useing to check the tds, handheld or inline? When was the last time you calibrated the meter.
If your useing inline meter where are the probes placed?

Im guessing your testing the tds after the membrane before the di stage and after the di stage if they came pre installed.

I would still pull one of the meters out to test your tap water so you have a base line to know what your rejection rate is at. Just make sure to put the meter back in the same postion as you take it out. The meter ends have 2 probes at the end and you dont want the probes inline with the unit lines.

Hopefully that makes sence

It says the membrane fkush valve whould be closed to limit waste water during use..... my psi is 50 with the valve open and 70 wi5h the valve closed but i hear a hissint noise when its closed? Is this normal?..... is it supose to be all the way closed during use?
