So I decided to purchase an RODI. After having unexplained fish deaths and algae, I figured it was worth the investment. Because of them coming to one of the FMAS meetings and good reviews, I decided to go with the Typhoon 3 from air water and ice.

Well, let me tell you, the install was much easier then the instructions lead on. On top of that, I am pleased to report a drop from 120ppm on the TDS to 0.

One question, will it harm the filter housings if the whole assembly is resting on the ground as opposed to the wall mounting. I does not weight all that much, but I wanted to see what everyones opinions are.

In my opinion you should not get any problems if its standing on the ground. It is mostly wall mountable so that you can remove the filters a lot easier.

It will be fine. Mine's been sitting inside a cabinet for 2 years now.

You definitely won't regret getting the typhoon makes it so much easier no trips to get water and it will pay for itself in no time.

My typhoon III was 199.99 plus shipping. Airwaterice.com cut me a deal on shipping because I lived in Fl.

Yeah, $199 as well, shipping + tax + extra hose connecter (I was not sure if I wanted to connect it to the sink or the washingmachine) was $250 total.
