Stupid question of the day... where is rod's reef and does he have a webpage?
Look up about 8 posts.

tony, thanks again for the vid.

is that the local airport to rod? midway>?

im going to start looking for cheap flights :) ive heard about this infamous food. :) maybe thats why his livestocks does so well.

if anyone from the city plans on heading to dekalb and is willing to pick me up a good batch I would appreciate it, send me a PM.

Rod will not sell food to bring back to others. You have to go to his shop to buy it. It is in essence, a "thank you" for coming out to his shop. :) He makes little to no profit on it. Haven't you been reading?

Rods food is great. I had been making my own myself w Melev's recipe and what a hassle, plus the expense to buy all of those ingredients.

I will never make my own again.

I could not agree more with marilynrn711 it would cost you way much more plus going to Rods is a treat . Also its a good excuse to drive up there to get the food.

marilynrn711, I could not have said it better. I have been out to Rod's when he makes up a batch. There is a lot of not only ingredients, but time that goes in to making it. I will continue buying it from Rod.

I'm not sure how much of a differance it makes coming in from o'hare or midway. I think midway would save you like 20 minutes? i dunno...anyone?

I'm heading up there Friday for the first time... I guess I better give him a call to be sure he's got some.:) I also hope he's got that purple magnifica he has on his site... :D

What's the best way there from the south subs?

55 south(St. Louis) to 355 to 88 west and exit Peace road.

Check his website for all the lefts and rights after that. He's not far of the exit, I just don't remember off the top of my head.

Thanks Salty! :)

East/west toll-way (I-88). Exit Peace Road, which is the first DeKalb exit (about 22 miles past the Sugar Grove Exit). Turn Left n Peace Road until it dead ends into Gurler Road (about 1/2 mile). Turn Right on Gurler Road for about 1.5 miles and you'll come to a stop sign which is rte.23. Turn Left on rte. 23 for about 3 miles to 15100 rte 23.. On the left side of the road, you will see a bluish gray house with 2 buildings out back. I am in the smaller of the 2 buildings.

No problem, Its a hike for you but worth it.. My fish go into a frenzy for this stuff. Plus its cool to check out his place too.
