Premium Aquatics has them. At least from what I was told before the "L-R-Onyx" is the Rod's Onyx.

Where do you see this? I can only find "SA Onyx Clowns" on their site?

I had decided to finally step up and call Rod to order some clowns like the day that Rod decided that he was no longer going to sell them. I have been kicking myself every since for not calling a few days earlier.

Thank you so much for pointing me to an alternative source. I just ordered 6. I'll post pictures when they arrive.

Thanks again,

William

I called Premium Aquatics today and left a message to order a pair myself. Hopefully they still have some available.

I got a pair today. Tiny little things. The shop I bought from got 9 total fish in. This was a pair someone changed their mind on. Hoping they'll host in the tiny sebae anemone I picked up with them.

Sorry about quality. Used my phone.

That's a nice pair too. Are those from Rod? Also I love that cage your acclimating them in. Did you make that or did you buy it?

Also, are those onyx. They look more like ocellaris.

That's what they were sold to me as. The shop posted it on a club forum I'm in along with a link to the parents Rod owns. He said he's been waiting a year to get fish from him and these 9 were the first.

The thing they are in is called a "Picture Window Breeder". I picked it up at the shop also.

I think they just look that way when they're young. I envy you man. That's a pretty pair of clownfish. Good luck and thanks for the info.

I called Premium Aquatics today and unfortunately they don't have any right now but I'm on the waiting list for the next batch. Don't know how long I'm gonna have to wait though. Thanks for everyone's input. I'll try and post some pics when I get them.

Got mine in this morning and Jesus Christ these things are tiny! One was a decent size but the other is so small you can't even imagine.

I have a question though. What are you guys feeding these baby clowns. Premium Aquatics said Cyclopeeze or frozen brine soaked in Selcon. I'm gonna try that but anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them.

I ordered 6. They arrived on Monday. There was 1 DOA and 1 that was badly deformed. Two replacements arrived on Tuesday. Of the 2 replacements 1 was also DOA.

Needless to say, I am less than impressed with premium aquatics success rate shipping these guys. The people at Premium Aquatics have been wonderful, giving credit for the DOA's and the deformed fish.

But since you have to pay for the shipping on the replacements(not that anyone else does covers shipping charges in alive arrive guarantee), the cost of shipping has climbed from $60 to $150. So, I still have credit for one more, but am not excited about spending another $50 to have it shipped to me.

As far as the fish go, I was actually pleasantly surprised how large they are. After hearing all of the comments about how tiny they were, I was expecting them to be really tiny. Granted they are smaller than a normal "Small" but they are certainly big enough for the average hobbiest to care for it.

Even more amazing was how quickly the settled in and accepted food. Within 30 minutes after acclimation they were already taking pellets.

I am feeding them Otohime B1 pellets coated with Naturose. I have also offered frozen cyclopeze which they also ate with gusto. I accidentally dropped a formula 1 small pellet in there, it was really funny, although the pellet was much to large to fit in their mouth, they fought over that pellet for hours.

I first got mine eating cyclopz..then omega 1 super veggie flakes...one now readily accepts prime reef flakes, while the other still spits them out. I recieved the fish on Tuesday and they came in happy as can be

Well, I am least encouraged that they eat Cyclops. I've got some thawing now. I was just a little shocked that one was so small.

I think that's its complete BS that they make you pay for shipping on DOA's. Its the shipping company THEY USE and they make us pay for their mistake. That's BS! Mine both arrived alive, thank God.

I understand the issue with the shipping..but it wouldn't be the shippers fault if they are DOA. If the fish is weak or can't handle the stress at the young age he probably wouldn't of made if are in the tank. I could be wrong but knowing that your fish make the trip and are healthy is definitley a raise of confidence behind that the fish will be just fine. I was worried about the size as well...mine are about 3/4 - 1 in. But are very happy in the new home

Mine are healthy also and eating very well. I fed come cyclops and they immediately took to it. I even fed a little mini-mysis and they both attacked it. Its still a little large for them though. They both look happy in my breeder net.

Well, my four came and this time only one die. I was happy that 3 were still alive. But maybe other hour or two all of them would of die. Premium Aquatics was the seller. This was my second order while my first order All 4 arrived Death. I called and told them what happen they sent 4 more 2 weeks later when they got more in. I have to say Premium Aquatics was good with fixing the problem. But I can't understand why this was happenning to me. I was the only one with death fish arriving from Premium Aquatics. I know that shipping fish this small is totally wrong. Knowing that booey reef sells the same fish and waits a little longer in selling them is the way to go. Only wish I did it before buy from Premium Aquatics. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

They keep dying on shipping because they are too small to be shipped. Or even just sold for that matter. Its a little disturbing people keep ordering them actually.
