well maybe the crispa is doing it? just offering a sugestion.

Both my Onyx have the same color black, the rod's is a darker orange though :)

Thanks for the suggestion...I never really thought about it, but it was about 2 weeks after I got the anemone, that their color changed. I don't understand though, why these fish would change and others wouldn't. Has this happened to anyone with these fish?

BTW, I did have 3 in there...I wonder if stress caused it. So I moved one to my 10 G. If his color comes back and the other 2 don't then it is something enviromental in my tank.

I love this thread :D , here's an update on my clowns....currently in my 10 ga nano.

Here's a pic of them sometime in september. Female on top and the male had a fully developed 3rd stripe.

I've had them since the middle of june.

yes the tang is small. All fish are in a 10 gallon tank. The blue tang is about the size of a nickel.

I got these five Onyx about 3 weeks ago. They already grow some and color up even more. All five start to have their third band. From the look of things at least 4 will develop to be Onyx. They 5th one should be also but not all the black coloration between the second and third band formed yet.

those are awsome love the one at the bottom how long will you keep them together
He is a beauty isn't he? The other side's marking is essentially the same as this side. I move them apart as soon as I have my other tank ready. The problem is there is a delay in getting my tank finish. It will be several months before the tank will age, and cycle and stable enough for them.

Good news. My sump and dump bucket is going to be finish this week sometime. Then I can really start on my tank at home. I am trying to set up an S. gigantea and A. percula tank.
