good looking and really nice !!!

"your post doesnt add up.."

Because they are young and fragile. I've seen on more than one occasion in my own breeding experience that if the O2 drops the little ones die first. (in fw and sw)

What makes adults better at dealing with adversity over babies in people? We are stronger and have more immunities. The flu may make us stay off work for a day or 2 but it could potentially kill the very young or very old. Its the same thing.

You would be surprised to see how much a young clown can take. From my experience, a young clown can handle just as much as an adult clown. Especially a young tank raised. WC are very finicky.

I would strongly suggest the diet has a lot to do with it. Feed flakes vs frozen and well.... its like comparing ramen noodles vs a fortified meal.

I have purchased 1 month old clowns. All arriving to my home safely.

Seems that Rod's Onyx has so much of a deeper orange than the others I;'ve seen. I got a pair from C-Quest cause a guy ordered a bunch and I saved $45 on shipping. Rod told me there is a fresh batch at Premium Aquatics but they ship them when they are so tiny that I was worried they would die...

Anyway, Rods look awesome!

I would say all Rod's tend to have a very deep and rich orange color. My guess is the food he gives them. He does not feed them pellets or flake food. He feeds fresh Rod's Food. Heck I think the clowns eat better than some people. Just see for yourself. :) Notice the tiny clowns snagging the biggest pieces they can find

There are THREE main reasons I support Rod.

One, he does not keep his breeding pair in a small tank with a clay pot. It is an actual reef system.

Two, hardly any breeder posts pictures of the parents. Dammit! If I buy an Onyx clown, I want to see who bred him! I'm tired of breeders claiming "Onyx Clowns", yet the parents look like turds.

Three, Like the parents, the grow out tank is not a tiny jail tank. All the room and corals to host in

so..how do you go about getting a pair of these? do they have a web site u can order from or am i going to have to rely on a LFS?

If you are looking for onyx clowns, I swear by wetthumbfrags.net .! The owners specialize in wild caught onyx clowns from papa new guinea, pairs and singles. They put them through a treatment program and you are assured that they are in top health. Not babies, and they are wysiwyg. If they don't have the ones that your looking for, just send them an email because they have plenty more that are being treated and have not been listed yet. Drop them a note and tell them that Corby referred you, they'll hook you up.!!

Rod used to ship directly, but I'm not sure if he does anymore since his food business took off. You can either get them from Premium Aquatics, or you might want to contact Rod himself through www.rodsfood.com.
