Roe's Duncans?

chrisstie

Hi all

There's a local club member who is planning on ordering from Roe's and has offered for us fellow members to go in with shipping with him.

Right now he currently has some australian duncans that are this weird yellow color. I was wondering if anyone else happens to have any of these and if they can tell me any experiences good or bad about them?

The club member has gotten some of his purple and green ones and said they are making babies really really fast so its tempting for me to go that route but I am also curious about the yellow and whether or not it'd be a fast grower like the green\purple.

it's such a strange color my curiosity might get the best of me.

what do you think?

For less than $30 I think it's a good enough price to try them. I would rather get those than the $100/polyp ones people on here are selling.

I think I am going to get one I am just agonizing over color preference:( and I can only afford to get one =\

I ordered some of the yellow ones and some of the purple chrisstie. If they come before you order, I'll be happy to let you know how they look. Be aware that Roe's Duncans usually have smaller polyps than normal. There's one other vendor I'm aware of selling yellow Duncans right now and in the pictures I've seen, they look the same as Roe's.

Yeah I think I've decided to go with the yellow just for the sake of experiment.

I don't care if a polyp is small, just that it is healthy because they make more eventually :) A little low on room in my tank for the moment while I figure out what to do with a few frags anyhow ;p

Thanks guys and i'd love an update when yours come in Tyke I think everything will ship out next week so we're tryin to entice more club members to share in the shipping while we wait hehe

Oh and if it helps here's the thread from the person I mentioned who has lots of growth coming on his duncan

I have all of his colors and let me say the yellow are stunning!!!
The bi-color ones are awesome purple neon green.
They come unmounted so have some mounting gear ready. he ships usps so on delivery i recommend picking them up at the local post office.

Thanks for the info guys :) I guess I will find out how it goes sometime next week :)

Once you get a decent shot with your camera ENraged i use a site like imageshack.us or photobucket.com to upload either from my hard drive or the cameras memory card itself (through a usb that connects to my computer) and then you can use the link with this websites IMG button to post a pic.

Hope it helps

I just got my order in from Roe's and I have to say they look outstanding!!!! They have four colors and I ordered two heads of each. And they were even nice enough to throw in two extra ones. Thanks Roe's if you see this thread!

Just finished feeding them for the first time, and they seem plenty healthy to me.

I spoiled them a little and gave them a healthy helping, and they swelled up pretty good. Kinda reminds me of sun coral.

Wish there was more info on them!!!!

Hey ENraged how did you go about mounting them. I have only mounted a few corals and used super glue. I am getting ready to order a couple fo these from roes and would like to know what i need to mount them.

I used super glue gel like yourself and mounted them to some tonga shelf rock rubble i had saved from my cycle. piece of cake

What did you think of the yellow ones they are my favorite so far.

Yup Roe's Marine world, and the yellow ones are outstanding. But my personal favorite is the lavender with neon green like tips.

Well, wish me luck. After looking at their listings on e-bay, I placed an order today for 1 polyp of yellow and 1 polyp of purple. I looked at the ones offered from liveaquaria.com, but at $100 per polyp, I thought I would give Roes' a try.

I already got an e-mail from them and should ship out on Monday.
