Roger - Osmolator problems...

Roger,

My osmolator's IR sensor does not seem to be operating. I walked by the tank tonight and noticed the water level down much more than usual. The controller is clean and dry. No strong magnetic fields are in close proximity to the controller. It has been operating flawlessly since I have had it - about 1 month. I have made no changes in the tank setup. Suggestions?

The three things that can cause this are a faulty sensor or the sensor being covered in lime or salt crust or a trickle of water over the sensor. I have seen it happen and done it myself where water is trickling over the sensor so it always thinks it is under water. Check this first.

There is no trickle of water. The sensor sits in a conpletely placid sump. The sensor is completely clean aswell.

Can you send it to me? It shouldn't take more than a day to replace the sensor or the board and return it.
