roggers food vs rods

Not sure if that question was directed at me but my homemade blend is the staple of my feeding. I usually break off a good chunk of it and add 2 cubes of mysis, bloodworms, sometimes brine and usually more reef roids. That usually lasts me a few days. If my tank is running high nutrient I back off on the extras and just feed my blend as it is really clean.
Sorry rovster, yeah I was directing it to you. And you answered my question perfectly. Thanks

Yes I know....ok fine you win, I made Rovi's Food inspired by Roggers Food......

Your mix looks just fine, your ratio is correct too, i normally use a vacuum chamber to speed up the vitamin absorption and to remove any micro bubbles that could make the food buoyant ( you don't want it going in the overflow) and Yes Selcon is a must, it's more expensive but worth every penny

Good luck!

Thank you Godfather!

I know. I didn't add the selcon because I didn't have it and I had the Vitachem on hand. I do have a vacuum packer maybe I'll try that next time! Also thanks for sharing those videos:thumbsup:

Ok...where does Larry's LRS Reef Frenzy fit in the comparison?

I've heard both good and bad about LRS RF. Honestly, I'd rather use Rogger's food because I've only heard (and experienced) good with it, and that is with dozens of people I knew personally that used it, as well as all of the people online and around Reefcentral.

LRS might have a larger user base than Rogger's food now, and that's why the complaints have surfaced, but in a decade of following and using Rogger's food, I haven't heard any grumbles, especially not from fishes or coral :p

It hasn't been ten years yet has it?

Does anyone know where to buy Rogers locally? I haven't seen it in many LFS' and would prefer not to buy it online. TIA

I know strictly and exotic used to carry it. Ive been making my own based on roggers recipe for awhile now. Like rovi said you get some funny looms at the seafood counter, but the final product is worth it. Fish love it.

Making this recipe for 2 1/2 years, but for some reason I add aloe vera crystals. I make a batch that last me for over seven months.
