Room Divider Tank Pics!!!

I sure can... I've been meaning to make a build thread or something anyway, this is good motivation :)

I'll post back in here with a link when I get something going, next day or so.

Just Jim - I looks like that room was specifically built for that tank!

Driftin - I'd also like to see more pics. That's a unique place to put a tank.

I wish, I had the tank custom built by glasscages. My main problem was the lack of a "fish room" which I later used my storage under the steps for all that cool stuff.

At first I assumed it was a custom tank, but the lights also look like they fit perfectly...

gotta have custom lights to go with a custom tank;)

Only problem is when you go custom, they charge you for the next size up; there is no in between pricing.

jdieck, what kind of valve is that on your return line? I might have missed it on the link you provided...
It is a Hayward automatic three way valve, the return flow enters the valve trough the bottom and leaves trough either side, the valve switches sides automatically every 20 minutes so the flow on one side diminsihes while the other side increases, each outlet side goes to the top of the tank on both sides and enter the tank trough the top with three exits on each side. This creates a wave effect switching every 20 minutes.

jdieck - there aren't prices listed on those pages. Do you mind filling us in on what that runs to buy the valve and actuator?

1-1/2" valve with the actuator is around $460.00

those are great tanks. it must be more challenging to hide the equipment all at one end...

I am still in the process of building one, a 220/225g between the dining room and family room. The thread on the build is Here
Got it up and running, most of what needs to be completed now is finishing the cabinetry and finalizing all the tweeking.

Need to take some wider angle shots, but here are a few.

The aquascaping in these tanks is great! That's part of what I'd hoped to see - how people aquascape with two viewable sides. In my current 55 gallon, I have the rock against my back wall (kind of hard to aquascape with 12" depth).

KurtsReef - that is a beautiful tank. I love the canyon in the middle.

Keep the pics coming!

This is mine. It is viewable on all four sides. All the plumbing and electrical runs thru the center overflow and into the basement. Tank is a 240, 8 feet long.

What was growing in there was Neomeris Annulata, AKA; Green Penis Weed. I ended up draining it and getting rid of everything, including the rock, nuked it with 2lbs of pool shock and starting ove. Well it's back but I *may* be on to something to get rid of it. I'm overfeeding the tank and turned off the skimmer, generally degrading the water quality. So far, the GPW is dieing and everything else is looking ok, not great but cerrtainly ok.

I don't really have any pics of the oveflow since it's done but I might be able to find some of the empty tank. I'll look for you.
