Rose anemone with torn foot- pics

Provided a pic of anemone recently brought home from store. The LFS tore is foot partially in center and this is what he looks like 24 hours later. He wasn't attaching yesterday but now has seemed to latch on.

There seems to be a small ball shaped object sticking out of his center. Any clue?

Also hasn't inflated hardly at all. Part of the acclimation maybe? Also fed him some brine shrimp and he is holding it with his tentacles but not eating it.

Don't feed it, just let it heal on it's own with good lighting and stable parameters. It will more than likely split, which will give you two of them :D

^^ I agree I wouldn't feed him if he's that severely hurt. Since he is exhausting all his energy to healing, eating would probably overwhelm him and the foot may rot before digested causing further issues or death. Wait until he is healed and looking good again to feed. He should recover since it's a BTA and I've seen ones in worse shape recover after being chopped up by a Vortech pump. Good luck
