Royal Dragon Acropora

My blue? deepwater. a branch I cut for my friend turned blue in higher lighting. I posted this on another thread here but I think I got the I.D. wrong. Still on the fence between Walindii and Indonesian Tenella. It grows flat-like at the stems with branchlets growing from the side like a dragon but has highly fused radial corallites on the body which makes me think indo tenella. My friend spsaddict helped name this piece and I'm looking forward to seeing it color up more. It's a first generation mariculture piece that has colored up from beige to this within 3 weeks. will post more pics as it improves.

Ah man, I'm sorry I didn't mean to say I didn't think your piece was stunning in the other thread. I really dig it, it's "my sort of thing". I was just trying to say that not everybody has pieces that just click and take off in popularity even if they are nice. However that privilege isn't just reserved for vendors.

Grats on the progress though each update it looks nicer.

I didn't take any offense to your comment on the other thread. There was no interest for a frag of this on a for sale thread and thats why I said that. I will post daylight pics soon, hopefully.

That piece is pretty sweet how long has it been in captivity? Has it morphed at all?
thanks. Its a maricultured piece thats been in my tank for 3 weeks now. The corallites are turning blue but I'm still waiting on it to color up more. If it turns into a cream body with blue corallites I will be one very happy reefer. Its also exhibiting some growth on the some radial corallites, overall, it looks very healthy.

A branch I gave to a friend turned baby blue like the baby blue you see on the blue lightning horrida

but that branch was placed higher than the mother so I repositioned it a lil bit higher to see if it colors up faster. we will see soon
