Royal Dragon Acropora

I couldn't capture the baby blue tips for the life of me.

I believe it has to do with the colour calibration of the equilibrium axe-fixation circumference due to hemispherical interface with your camera. Send me a frag, so I can experiment with optimal photograph settings I will then report my findings to you with an EXIF so you can the perfect photo settings. I will do this service for you free of charge oh and some of that acro in your avatar to use as a control.

the magnitude of the opposing symmetrical parameters creates the hemispherical interference that you mentioned earlier within the pic which can be fixed by retarding the diaphysis angle to its optimal level so there isn't a need just yet but I will let you know very shortly. LOL.

How many dragons are there now? I'm seeing threads on royal, red, purple, etc.....
There was only one true red dragon in terms of species in circulation. There was a pink one called pink dragon tails but I highly doubt its the same species due to lack of convincing photographs. I hear of a purple one here and there but species match was never confirmed and pics were highly questionable so there is only one red dragon aka firefighter fuscia. Royal Dragon is in a league of its own named dragon because it is a dragon. just look at the pics.

We are current in a Royal dragon thread.
There are plenty of Red Dragon threads, should be easy to find.
Here is a Purple Dragon thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2131794

Anybody can take any coral and slap a name on it. Does that mean its the same species? The royal is a true A. Dragon Sp. You wont see it on corals of the world because Mr. Veron is pribably too busy discovering new corals to update it.

So you're sayin "dragon" is now a species?!? I'm interested, got a link to that species classification?
there are no links because its still classified information. Maybe one day the govt will release that information to the public or wikileaks may get a hold of it somehow.

 You already admitted that you don't know what species it is.
I thought the lower the f stop the deeper the dof but im still a photography noob
No, a higher f-stop = increased DOF -think of ansel adam's landscapes (he was apart the group F/64)

Yeah, i was kidding around. It might be a walindii, indonesian tenella, or fenneri or none of those. Scientific id is almost impossible for some of these sticks unless youre a trained marine biologist with a.microscope but unfortunately, they dont sell corals. I will look into the f stop and ansel adam. Thanks.
