Royal gramma tank mates?

I am also considering a royal gramma... I have a coral beauty, a tomato clown, scooter dragonette and a banded goby as well as some inverts.... from everyting I've read these should all be fine together... Purple fire fish and some cardinals would also be nice.... They all seem to be moderately even tempered to down right docile and sweet from what I've read...
though the clown will most likely be the bully on the block.......

that sounds really good. If the cb and tomato are getting along good then there shouldn't be a problem with a royal

My refugium has a 3" to 4" sand bed... Unfortunately, it's a pretty darn tiny fuge... It's my sump.. I convertetd the largest section to a refugium.... there are some pieces of live rock the aforementioned sand, a ball of cheato and some Feather Calupera...

you are doing great---impressed how you have been taking all the advise here and putting it to good use---kind of what I did when I started here and still do:lol:

I just wish you would be rid of that caulerpa algae while you can

Yeah I really enjoy reef central and it has been a HUGE help!
I am considering getting rid of the calupera ;)
M cheato is still small, waiting for him to grow grow grow! LOL!

So far the CB and the tomato are friendly with each other.. Teh CB is about 2 and half times the clowns size so that may have something to do with it...
Looking for the largest Royal gramma I can find!
My son really wants a fire fish, so I'm thinking about that as well... though theymay be a bit too docile....
Any suggestions are always welcome! :D

the coral beauty without any other dwarf angels should be a model citiizen. The coral beauty and the yellow tang were the first two fish I put in my tank and are still there.

I don't know if big al's does it in the states but here every Sunday the offer a special on tropical and reef
I just got back
I bought two blungeon gobies and two very small six line wrasses , for 10 dollars a piece
last week I got two yellow wrasses, and 2 basselettes(yellow and bright purple) for 10 bucks a piece
I use to have an old 30 as a qt but now it receives all the new fish and I keep them in there for 3 weeks or so to get them to feed

When you add all these small fish to your tank it reallly looks neat--colourfull and busy.

Rather then spend 50 bucks on a fair size fish I have decided to go this way and its a great way to build up a collection of different fish.

I would like a royal gramma also--just waiting for them to run a special----they are small--but they seem to survive and grow

LOL! at least I have pics Larah (albeit old). You are right, I will have to post some updated shots in the gallery - I'll let you know. A RG would be a great addition to your tank. I don't think size will matter as they are very hearty and reasonably assertive. All your choices look good. I would be a little worried about how a firefish would fare with the crew you have or plan.

I'm also planning on getting a Royal Gramma at some point. (I just got my first fish on Saturday... nice Brown Goby) Anyhow, there's a big long thread over at Nano Reef about people having issues with Royal Gramma's becoming/being aggressive. So it does happen, maybe more so in the smaller tanks.
