Royal Urchins (Decirator Urchins)

So I used to have these urchins and apparently they are good for eating bryopsis. I had 2 of them and I have bryopsis. For some reason they died on me....does anyone have some experience with these critters? Maybe possibly know why they died. Water parameters are where they are supposed be. All other inverts are healthy including my long spine urchin. Thoughts?

I had for for a few years and he died along with many others duing a system cash. So I can't help.

Because these animals are so "picky" about water quality and cleanliness in an aquarium, they are the first to show signs of stress, seen when their spines are laying down or falling off.

I don't know if this is the same type of urchin but I've had mine for years, it spawns regularly and I've never seen it eat Bryopsis

Does anyone else know what might eat bryopsis? I have possibly heard foxface or rabbit fish....thoughts?
