RPE Zoanthid not opening

I have 2 rpe polyps, started with only one. My problem is, they 2 polyps don't want to fully open. All other zoos and corals in the tank open up great and are doing fine. I have the rpe's at the bottom of my 5 1/2 nano, lighting is 70w halide and 18w 50/50.

Any ideas?

I don't actually.
How long ago did you put them in there?
Also how long have they been closed?
I have some blue tubs that won't open either it's making me feel nervous about them.
The general consensus is to just wait it out.
Obviously your not going to like this answer because I didn't either.
I wanted to know if there was anything you could do to help them and once again I got a no.
Hopefully they open

I've had them for about 3 months now. They half way open sometimes, and sometimes stay closed.

Sounds like you have some type of pest from the way you describe their behavior.

Have you tried dipping them to remove pest....

tank temp/pH matched RO/Water with lugols solution...

and after checking for nudi eggs, sundial snails or pods munching on them... move them to another area and with better flow.

Be sure to use a clear container... allows to view what ever comes off the rocks... be it bad snails, seaspiders, nudis, Flatworms, zoa eating ampipods etc......

Did my zoo dip, but didn't see anything come off the rock. I just have wait and see what happens now.
