I put my build thread in the reef discussion forum but I thought I'd start posting a few pics here as the tank is really becoming an SPS tank. It has been up and running for a year now although some serious neglect over the summer set me back quite a bit. Many of the colonies came forward from my previous tank.

Thanks Rovster. I am not running zeo or carbon dosing. I dose calcium, all and mag plus a little kalk in a nielsen reactor for my top off. I run very low amounts of BRS GFO (like 1/5 of the recommended amount in a reactor). Low fish load - two oscellaris, small hippo, royal gramma, yellow clown goby and a rainford goby (plus a yellow watchman that seems to prefer living in my sump).

It is a regular 120 2x2x4. I have had this 120 in service for nearly 8 years. About 2 years ago I really started to run into trouble so last Christmas I transferred the contents to a tank I borrowed, drained it and started over.

Rockwork is a mix of indo maricultured and marco rock with a mix of corals I had along with some newer ones introduced after the rebuild. 90lbs of aragonite so relatively shallow sand bed.

For a long time I was running a Tek Elite 8 bulb fixture over the tank but always missed the shimmer. In September 2013 a Maristar MH/T5 came up for sale locally so I made the switch. Currently I'm running 2x250 Phoenix 14K with one Giessmann true actinic and one ATI blue plus.

BK Mini 180 skimmer and a two little fishes phosban reactor running BRS phosphate remover in much lower amounts than recommended. I dose Randy's 3 part and top up my kalk reactor now and then although I may take it off line - too hard to maintain rock steady parameters this way - no additional supplements or carbon dosing. ATO is handled by a Tunze Osmolator. Trace elements from water changes.

Flow is 2 Tunze 6105 and 1 6055 on a 7096 controller. Everything else is controlled by my Reef Keeper Elite although I am starting to look seriously at an Apex.

Not much to tell, really. Simple, old school setup.

Really a very nice tank and really like all the acros they look great. Can you post a few pictures of your sump and do you add an additives to your tank?

I do not use any additives whatsoever (other than Randy's 3 part). I should probably pay attention to my iron because nothing green ever stays green. Maybe that could be my new year's resolution

My sump is pretty simple as well. The section in front of the skimmer chamber is my fresh water ATO. When I had the sump built my original plan was to use the large chamber on the right hand side to be a frag tank. I ran it for a while but the problem was that I got all sorts of coralline growth everywhere (including inside the skimmer) because of the light bleed. Now it's just a bit waste of space but it makes running reactors really easy. Unfortunately I never took a pic of my sump when it was all nice and clean. This is an older picture. I will try to grab an updated pic under the tank shortly.

I have no fish room or ancillary space so everything has to fit under the tank.
