Hello RC'ers.
I am in the process of stepping up from a 6 Gal Fluval Edge to a RSM C-130, and thought some of you might enjoy the journey. I've had 6 Gal Fluval for about 3 years, which means I still don't know **** about saltwater tanks, and the fact that I haven't been able to grow **** proves it. I love my little tank, but it was never going to be what I wanted. So I decided to step it up, and have spent the last 2 months doing my homework.
I have gone all out, and spared no expense. Everything I bought, will do, or didn't do, has been done for a specific reason that was right for me. From what type of tank I got, to the size. I spent hours on RC, and youtube (gotta love youtube), looking up info on powerheads, lighting, skimmers, sumps, landscaping, etc. I have taken many things into consideration, from location, to available space. So, although I may have wanted to have added a thing or two. I wanted to keep it simple, clean, and without pvc and cables everywhere.
This is my first crack at this. But I will try to document the journey as best as possible, include pictures, and welcome any feedback. I hope you enjoy!
