Rubber Mat for under pump?

Would the product in the link above be safe to use for under a mag drive pump in sump?

It says its all natural rubber, latex free and has no anti-mildew type things.

I wouldn't. instead, I use 100% silicone trivets you can buy in a 3-pack at Target. Trivets? is that right? what you put under a hot pot or pan so it doesn't damage a table. They're in the kitchen section at Target, right next to the garlic presses and cheese graters.

get a sandwich bag, fill it with argonite, ut it under pump. problem solved

You can also try drawer or shelf lining you can get anywhere; lowes, HD, wally world.

The suction cups on those things are useless, you'd still have lots of vibration from the gaps between the cups when they stop sticking.

Ha! My dad calls them divets because he can't remember what they're called... now I always slip and call them divets...

I got plastic shower liner at Home Depot. It's PVC, really thin, so I cut and layered strips of it to make little pads. It drastically cut down on sound, and prevented pumps from sliding around.

I have a rubber mat under my Magdrive pump but need another for under my skimmer it vibrates the whole sump. I never thought to look for something like the trivets.

Edit: but not in my tank...I should read more carefully!

The mag drives come with silencing pads if yours didn't ask your lfs or look online
