Rubble Rock in Display Tank

I have a few extra pounds of rubble rock. I was thinking of adding it to the back of my display tank to create more places for pods for my mandarin. Will that become a detritus trap?

As long as you have enough flow I don't see why it would. Should in time turn into regular live rock just like the rest.
