ruby red dragonet score!

When I first introduced my pair my mandarin male (5x larger) harassed the female. That's what caused her to repeatedly end up in my sump. Now that she's back in the DT, there's no aggression between the two similar species (and she stays in the DT).

I haven't tried prepared foods specifically for them. I have so many bugs in my tank they just munch on bugs on the rocks. I'd consider them on par with other dragonets -- they shouldn't be purchased unless they're eating prepared at the store or you've got a surplus of bugs. My sump looks flea infested in some areas.

I had so many bugs then I added 2 flame, 2 golden rhoimbroids, 1 melanrus wrasse and I no longer have any bugs noticeable in my tank. So if I get one of these guys I wanted to make sure it could eat prepare foods

Picked up the last one at AD. I don't often have buyers remorse and I am pretty good about researching livestock and equipment before I buy (like I have a choice when I'm waiting on $ to get it) but this guy was a bad idea. I knew with all my aggressive eaters it would have to live on pods and I buy them often enough that it isn't a concern. I knew they were tiny but what I didn't factor in was how tiny it would be in a 120 gal tank. I may never see this thing again....

i know, i'm just hoping to get a glimpse of mine in my 60g. even harder to see in your 120...
post another pic, i can't see yours...

Based on size, I doubt this guy will live on prepared food. About the only thing I could feed it is an eyeball from a mysis shrimp lol. I found it with a flashlight in the rock work, looked like it was hunting for pods. I'm afraid one of my flower nems or engineer goby is going to get him.

I still haven't seen mine. Sigh. Out of all the fish, I really want this one to be ok.
I did however spot 1 of the 3 sexy shrimp I put in on Friday. That gives me hope, the sexies are smaller than the dragonet. I knnow I have plenty of pods, so fingers crossed.
I do have a maxi/mini nem, too...

Mine have grown quite a bit. And they're regularly visible in my 300g. Give them some time. As long as you see them actually picking off rocks, they should be fine. They really stand out because of the bright red coloration.

no sign of mine, i did see the sexy shrimp again. the fish should be out feeding, but it's not. unless it is still hiding, it doesn't look good....i am begining to lose hope... if they are visible in 120's and 300's and i can't see mine in my 60g....
