Ruduction of return pipe/hose diameter

The outlet of the 1073.09 is 1.5". I am going to be feeding it to a wavy sea plus rated for over 3000G. The problem is that the largest outlet for the wavy sea plus is a one inch barbed fitting for a hose. I am also limited in space behind the tank. Is it ok to reduce the outlet from the pump to a 1" barb and use a high presure hose (clear with braided mesh) all the way from the pump to the wavy sea plus?

It seems to result in more noise and faster lime build up so I would bypass some of the water and use 2 1" hoses with one going to another return or back to the sump. You could try 1 but it may need to be modified later.
