So I'm about a year into having a 500g system, all but 185 of which is in a room in the garage. I've noticed very gradual rusting of some tools in the garage. Frist to go was my drill bit set. This weekend I noticed that anything not painted on my daughter's bike was starting to rust.
I've got a bathroom exhaust fan to install in the ceiling of the room, which I figure ought to help considerably. I still have to insulate and panel the outside (garage side) of the new walls for the fish room. That might help contain the moisture to the room. I've got an old mariner's gauge set just outside the room, it reads relative humidity at 65-70%. Odd thing is you can't feel it.
Any tips? Next step is to restore my tools before they degrade any further.
