No on the carpet it could grow to the size of a 10g very fast mine was the size of a small saucer type plate and is well over 18" now.

10 g tank is not big enough for a clownfish hosting anemone. 20ish gallon cube tank is the absolute minimum IMO. H. malu is one of the best anemone for small tank with sand bed. I would not put one of these in anything less than 30 g. A sand bed is a must for H. malu.

BTA only for a 10g. If you really want an anemone, you'll put the time and money into setting up a good habitat. And BTW, small 1" clowns grow... besides a carpet would sting all of the corals no matter what, and would definitely eat the firefish. Just buy a 25g-35g, put a 150w MH on it, stick in a pair of clowns, and buy a giant RBTA... it is SO much more fun that way. I like having extra room so I can put some zoas, yumas, rics, and that sort of junk covering all of the rocks and then having giant, too-big-for-my-tank anemones, which in fact keep the corals from overrunning each other! :)
My clown pair loves it!
