Sabae Anemone

I have a 125 gallon dt which makes a nice home for my three Anemones. The first addition to my tank was a green bubble tip anemone (1 year old), whom hosts a mated pair of false percula's. He resides on the right side of my tank towards the upper half and wedged himself into the crevese of some live rock. He moved there after i tried to place him somewhere in the center...I'm happy where he is now...

Here's a pic....

The 2nd and 3rd addition to my tank are a green carpet anemone and what appears to be a "bleached" sabae anemone...

The Green Carpet Anemone and aclimated very nicely to the tank and pretty much settled right in where i put him. I do not have a host fish yet so i'm open for some suggestions.

Here is a pic...this pic is 3 days after i put him in, since then his mouth has pretty much closed completely and has been in the tank for 7 days..

NOW....

My problem Anemone

This first picture above is ideally where i'd like him to settle in... Was told that they are sand dwelling anemones which is why i have moved him there. For whatever reason he always seems to be on the run are simply unattaches himself from the current that is down there (not too strong but has a presence) Since this picture i have since then tried to barracade the sides with small pieces of live rock but for whatever he's on the run.. Any suggestions on keeping them in a place you'd like... If not then where should i try and put him??

This picture was where i first tried to put him and he actually seemed to have been aliright there but i was told to put him down near the sand

Most sebae's ( H. crispa) seem to attach at the rock/sand interface but I've seen a few attached up in the rocks. A very well respected aquarist in the UK - Martin Lakin - has a large one of the pink variety and his is attached in the rockwork halfway up his tank which is 30" deep. So, if yours seemed ok in the rocks, I'd try it there again.

Sebae's seem to like strong light, not sure what you have, but usually when they crawl up onto rocks they are seeking better light.

Oh, and yours is also close to other corals/zoos/polyps, which could also be a problem, stinging.

Thanks guys, been trying to relocate him to a place he'll like however he just keeps detaching and ends up floating upside down. Im ready to get rid of him
