Yes, Tuberville did just that, but like I said, who brought up Auburn? I'm not an Aub, believe me.
You ask who brought up Auburn? Well, Buzz, Scapes, Greenbean (didn't say Auburn specifically, but he made a jokingly negative remark about Bama, and his location is Auburn) and then you come in with skeptism, and you're from Montgomery aka AU country.
I'm sorry if I assumed you're an Auburn fan. The Auburn fans have been coming out of the woodwork this week to denounce Saban, and any other part of the whole situation.
Just amazingly coincidental, don't you think?
Not really. You're being skeptical, I'm trying to remain positive. If it's not really his dream job then you can come back and tell me I was wrong in 3 or 4 years, or whenever your projected date of departure is.
It does strike me as funny that most Alabama fans consider themselves to be better than Auburn or its fans, but yours is the same comeback/argument I've heard the most this week. Kind of torpedoes the whole superiority thing, doesn't it? I mean, if you cite your supposed inferior as a behavioral model, what does that say about you?
It's not that I feel superior to Auburn fans in any way. They have a great program, a great coach, and should definetly be proud of what has been accomplished.
However, I do I feel like Auburn fans are constantly attacking Bama and their fans, as if they have a chip on their shoulder.
Auburn fans would say Bama fans are worse, but I honestly don't see that much smacktalk being done by Bama fans.
Look at this thread, for example. How many people came in ranting and raving that Auburn was going to get their butts whooped, Tubervilles days were over, etc, etc. I don't see any (except maybe bones 1st comment). Now compare that to the comments posted by AU fans.
